Sages and adepts have long traversed the Himalayan Mountains in pursuit of the highest truth and wisdom. Their ardent practices have yielded profound meditative insights and extant literature which are still applicable to modern seekers. Stanford University hosts His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda as part of their annual Contemplation by Design Summit for this 45 minute guided meditation session. Participants can experience a Himalayan meditation based on the ancient Patanjali-Yogasutra, which integrates breath awareness and relaxation to bring about mental clarity and calm repose.

His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda is a Himalayan monk and meditation master of the ancient Vedanta order. He was awarded the degree of Mahāmahopādhyāy (DLitt et Phil) by the university system in India due to his scholarly and meditative interpretation of Sanskrit literature. He is the spiritual founder of the Nonprofit, Self Enquiry Life Fellowship.
