This gathering is a time-honoured traditional fellowship where devotees make offerings (such as flowers\, fruits\, love donation\, usable vegan food items) from their hearts and the choicest blessings are bestowed by the lineage of spiritual masters. His Holiness will bless each devotee and family member with special care for children accompanying their parents. \nWe encourage and welcome you to bring your families and children. Children wanting to listen to the stories during a class session by His Holiness are most welcome to join. Some sessions with His Holiness will be appropriate for children aged 3-12\, but there will also be the option for children aged 3-12 to participate in special children’s activities. To learn more about bringing your children and teens\, please read the sections below labeled “Children’s Camp” and “Teenage Participants. \nThe children’s camp is designed to help parents manifest a family experience within the limitations of the venue\, volunteering and other resources. While the children’s camp allows for parents to attend classes and sessions\, it is not designed to completely free up parent(s) from their own initiative to look after and interact with their children. The retreat schedule allows the flexibility for a combined retreat-vacation supportive of a family experience. \nMeals & Lodging Accommodations\nYour retreat includes three nights of accommodation plus two meals per day. Vegetarian meals\, which are gluten-free and mostly vegan\, will be lovingly prepared according to sattwic Ayurvedic principles. The lodging is apartment style. Each apartment has 4 bedrooms\, 2 bathrooms\, a living room and a kitchen. Individuals will be assigned to shared same-gender apartments. Married couples and families are welcome to stay together in the same apartment\, but each apartment is limited to four people. In some cases\, for families with children\, more than four people may be allowed to stay in an apartment. DESCRIPTION:FULL – no space available (max 50) \nThe Hansajīvin Retreat in Haridwar\, India aims to teach participants the true meaning of sustainable living as per the Himalayan siddha teachings of the nath yogis. The retreat curriculum will share the practices of sun-gazing with sunrise\, practices of śāmbhavi mudrā on the Sun based on the UV counter\, thus avoiding any discomfort or potential damage. Morning practices will also include specific pranayama techniques synchronized with rumination of Om sound to experience the effects of increased oxygenation. Evening practices include trātaka (gazing on un-flickering lamp eight feet away) while listening to 432 Hz and 528 Hz Om chanting. The retreat includes a full teaching demonstration on how to build a fire kiln (home furnace) from adobe and other natural materials for various practices invoking fire\, especially those using firewood and dried cow-dung. Practices of daily agnihotra (fire ritual during dusk and dawn) will be reviewed. The curriculum teaches how to balance the agni with soma\, as in the use of light-giving and cooling tinctures for the eyes. \nThe retreat is a rare opportunity to imbibe teachings from monks: HH Swami Vidyadhishananda Giri\, HH Swami Sharadananda Giri and HH Swami Sharad Puri. The monks will discourse on verses from the Veda in reference to the sustainable living concepts\, and further supplement with teachings from the Yoga-aphorisms (sutra) of Patanjali. This special retreat will allow participants to understand how sunlight can supply and balance the five elements in the body\, and develop a deeper understanding of agni (heat/fire element) and soma (cool/water element). Pilgrims will get to listen to synchronized sublime chanting of esoteric branches of the Veda at the main campus of Vedanidhi. Pilgrims will also experience contemplative walks along the ghats of the river Ganga\, boat rides and observe the dusk time vespers offered to Ganga. The history and spiritual depth of Varanasi will be revealed through visits to temples and other sacred sites. Pilgrims will visit four properties associated with Vedanidhi that are run by the monks of our monastic council. Fellowships with monks and sharing of reading materials from old libraries and antiquarian book stores will reveal the continuity of the Sanskrit manuscripts and texts relevant to a seeker or an aspirant.

SUMMARY:Full Moon Holy Bathing
DESCRIPTION:FULL – no space available (max 50) \nDuring this 3-day pilgrimage participants will be hosted under the auspices of Sri Paramanand Ashram in Jhunsi (neighbouring township to Allahabad\, India)\, which is a little over a kilometer away from the holy confluence (prayag-sangam) of Ganga and Yamuna. Most of the hundred resident students between the ages 8 through 18\, who practice Vedic whole-brain accelerated learning will greet the 50 pilgrims with Sanskrit peace chants. The pilgrims will accompany monks (including HH Swami Sharadananda and HH Swami Vidyadhishananda) for holy ablutions at the confluence on the full moon morning of 10th February (maghi-purnima). Several chanting sessions by Vedic priests and students\, followed by fellowship with monks on 10th and 11th will showcase and highlight a traditional Vedic ashram curriculum to the pilgrims. This ashram is one of the last remaining institutions that practices traditional learning\, situated on the banks of river Ganga at the ancient hallowed site of Pratisthānpuri\, a place that is mentioned in the time-honoured Vedic Sanskrit texts.
